Ideologically and aesthetically, the game takes inspiration from American painting of the 20th century, representatives of Prezisionism, the works of Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper, noir films of the 40s, German Expressionism, Alfred Hitchcock´s thrillers. Not to mention the films "Reflective Skin", "Days of Harvest", the books "1922" and "Lolita".

Plot

1947. Loretta and Walter Harris move to a farm. To his parents´ house. Walter is a writer, Laura is an unemployed housewife. Both are not thriving.
The family is struggling financially. The situation is complicated by the fact that Walter owes money to certain people. Although the man keeps his wife in the dark, Laura guesses, just as she guesses, that Walter is cheating on her.
Laura realizes: she has given up her dreams, her job, and her opportunities for a loser man she doesn´t even love, and now finds herself in an empty and cold house with no means of livelihood.
Barely renewing another loan, she learns that the publisher has insured Walter´s life: if he dies or is reported missing, the payout is $30,000. Laura hatches a plan.
